MiniStack is great — but it isn't AWS, and pretending otherwise is how you lose an afternoon "debugging" something that was never going to work. Part 5 draws the honest line: what MiniStack handles well (S3, IAM, Lambda, DynamoDB, VPC networking, 60+ services in all), and where it taps out — namely, account-level orchestration like AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and Service Control Policies.
If you're building or testing a full landing zone, the account-creation and policy pieces still need real AWS. Everything else — which is most of it — you can build and break here for free.
The services MiniStack supports solidly, for the vast majority of learning
Exactly what it can't do (and why that matters for landing zones specifically)
A rule of thumb for knowing when it's time to switch to a real AWS account
This closes out the MiniStack series — from here, the rest of the path has a free lab to practice in at every stage.
